Engine accessories: the core support of the power source

As the power heart of a gas generator set, the quality of its components directly determines the performance of the genset. Spark plugs, although small in size, bear the crucial mission of igniting a mixture of gas and air. In the combustion chamber of the engine, the spark plug generates an electric spark through the electrodes, instantly igniting the mixture and triggering intense combustion, releasing powerful energy to drive the piston movement. High quality spark plugs have good conductivity and high temperature resistance, and can work stably in extreme environments of high temperature and high pressure, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of ignition. Once the spark plug malfunctions, such as electrode wear, carbon deposition, etc., it will lead to poor ignition, causing problems such as difficulty starting the engine, decreased power, and increased fuel consumption.

 

Pistons and piston rings are also crucial components of engines. The piston reciprocates linearly within the cylinder, converting the heat energy from combustion into mechanical energy, which in turn drives the crankshaft. Piston rings, installed in the piston's grooves, seal the cylinder, prevent combustion leakage, and scrape excess oil from the cylinder walls. High-performance pistons are typically made of lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy to reduce inertial forces during reciprocating motion and improve engine response. The piston rings undergo special surface treatment, providing excellent wear resistance and sealing properties, maintaining normal cylinder pressure during prolonged high-speed operation and ensuring stable engine power output.​

 

Electrical system accessories: precise control of power output

The electrical system components are responsible for converting the mechanical energy generated by the engine into stable electrical energy and precisely regulating the power output. The alternator, as the core component, converts the rotating mechanical energy of the engine into electrical energy through the principle of electromagnetic induction. The stator and rotor inside are made of high permeability silicon steel sheets, and the windings are made of high-quality copper materials to reduce resistance and improve power generation efficiency. At the same time, the alternator is equipped with an advanced excitation system that can automatically adjust the excitation current according to changes in the load, ensuring the stability of the output voltage. When the load increases, the excitation system automatically increases the excitation current to increase the output voltage of the generator, otherwise it decreases the excitation current to maintain a constant voltage. ​

 

The controller: the "brain" of the electrical system

The controller monitors the operating parameters of the unit in real time, such as voltage, frequency, fuel temperature, fuel pressure, etc., and intelligently controls the genset according to preset programs. Once parameter abnormalities are detected, the controller immediately sends an alarm signal and takes corresponding protective measures, such as automatic shutdown, to avoid damage to the genset due to faults. For example, when the oil temperature is too high, the controller can control the cooling fan to increase the speed and enhance the heat dissipation effect; When the voltage fluctuation exceeds the allowable range, the controller adjusts the excitation system of the generator to stabilize the voltage output.
